Who Do You Say That I Am?
Jesus asked His disciples, “Who do you say that I am?” Throughout time, humanity has struggled with the answer to His question. While Jesus walked on earth, some said John the Baptist or Elijah. Some believed he was a prophet or a promised ruler for the Jewish people. Some accused him of being a heretic, a blasphemer, an insurrectionist. In modern day, Jesus has been called a teacher, a lunatic, a magician, a liar, a “good” man, a friend . . .and a Savior. In this Lenten worship series leading up to Easter, we’ll explore the identity of Jesus, who He is for us, and who He calls us to be. Who do you say Jesus is? Your answer impacts your understanding of Him . . . and who you are to become.
