Jesus Raises the Bar
There are some verses and Bible stories that are so familiar that many of us could quote them in our sleep. But have we really taken them to heart?
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus raises the bar on all the ways the people of God they had life with God figured out. He invites them to see that it is not about the mastery of rule and doctrines, but about having our hearts mastered by the King. Join us as we explore the ways the upside-down King dismantles all of our assumptions about a life of faith.
This series, we’ll be sending out a text each Saturday to help you prepare for the sermon. If you’d like to receive these reflection prompts, text “SOTM” to 555888.
