Lay Care Ministry Training
When: October 5 - November 9
Contact: Melissa Schaser
The Lay Care Ministers at CPC live out CPC’s value of Tangible Care and Hospitality by showing up and extending the love of Jesus to those who are hurting or in need of extra support in our church family. Each fall, we offer training for those who would like to join one of our many Lay Care Ministries. This year we are offering our Lay Care Training virtually, using a combination of Zoom gatherings, pre-recorded videos, and written curriculum. Our training covers topics such as listening, compassion, grief, boundaries, and much more. If you are interested in developing these skills and serving on one of our Lay Care Ministry Teams, we would love to have you register. The Lay Care Ministries that require Lay Care Training include: Hospital Visitation, Senior Visitation, New Baby Visitation, Prayer and Healing, Care Group Leadership, and Grief Recovery.
Note: To ensure the safety of our Lay Care Ministers and CPC members, all visitation ministries are taking place by phone and gift bag drop-off during COVID-19. Please contact Melissa Schaser with any questions.
