Launch into Summer: Kids’ Drive-Thru
When: June 6 at 10:00AM - 12:00PM
Where: CPC Parking Lot
Come join us for a fun, safe drive-thru event to kick-off summer!
- See your teachers: Wave and talk to preschool and elementary teachers you know from Sunday mornings, Mom’s Morning preschool room, and Wednesday Club (all from 6 feet away)!
- Take something home: Pick up fun take-home activity packets that kids can use throughout the summer!
- Donate to VEAP: Drop-off food & hygiene items that will directly support local individuals and families–our neighbors–on a path to stability. The need now is greater than ever due to the COVID-19 pandemic and destruction in Minneapolis. Our mission partner is VEAP.
We have a specified driving route (see below). Please use the entrance on 70th Street and exit onto the Frontage Road—teachers will help guide you through!
At both the donation and activity pick-up stations, you may get out of your car to drop off donations and gather activity packets if you are wearing a mask. Teachers will have everything ready for you and will stand back at least 6 feet. Teachers will also wear masks and gloves and will be appropriately spaced. Drive-Thru Tip: Kids should go potty before you come! CPC restrooms will not be available.
Our Heart for Safety
Your health and safety are important to us, so whoever steps out of the car must wear a mask and social distance 6 feet apart from others. If you are sick or unwell, please stay home. Symptoms of COVID-19 can be found here: Stop the Spread of Germs (COVID-19). If someone in your household exhibits COVID-19 related symptoms, stay home. We have been and will continue to follow the safety guidelines set out by the CDC and the Minnesota Department of Health. Christ Presbyterian Church (CPC) is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for all our staff. To ensure that, we have developed a Preparedness Plan in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. All CPC staff are responsible for implementing this plan. Our staff are required to wear masks whenever working with others, to maintain social distance of six feet, and to take their temperature each day they are engaging in work with others.
We pray that your family is safe and healthy, and we hope to see you on Saturday!
