Contemporary Worship

Contemporary worship mixes elements of the Church’s history with the sights and sounds of today’s contemporary culture:

  • Worship music is led primarily by soloists and a worship band.
  • Regular features include children’s sermons, drama, videos, personal witnesses, and creative elements.
  • The same speaker delivers the sermon in both the traditional and contemporary services.
  • Members of our Prayer Team are available near the Prayer Room at the rear of the Sanctuary after each worship service. They consider it a privilege to pray with you for your individual concerns and needs.

Coming for the first time? As you walk in, our greeters would love to guide you to the worship space or kids’ programming locations and answer any other questions you may have. We can’t wait to meet you!

Traditional Worship

Traditional worship draws on the richness of the Church’s history mixed with relevance for today’s worshiper:

  • Liturgical elements incorporate responsive readings, prayers, and confession.
  • Worship music embraces a variety of styles, including hymns and organ, choirs, soloists, and instrumental music.

The Table at CPC

As a unique expression of CPC, The Table is a multi-generational community that meets on Sunday nights. Common elements of our services include:

  • Communion: We celebrate the Eucharist every week, and all are welcome at the Communion table. Community members serve the elements and remind you that Christ’s body was broken for you, and His blood was shed for you. Gluten-free elements are served in the center aisle.
  • Reflection: The Sanctuary is darkened to foster an environment of meditation. You can reflect in prayer, reflect on Scripture, or reflect in worship.
  • Prayer: We make space for you to pray at three kneeler stations, light a candle, or write out requests on the pink cards. During the last worship set, members of our Prayer Team are available in the front corners of the Sanctuary to pray with you and for you.

Coming for the first time? Feel free to visit a prayer station before the service begins. Kids’ check-in is just inside the main doors, to the right. We can’t wait to meet you!

Sermons

Each week, we receive teaching from our pastoral staff. We long to be grounded in Scripture and relevant in today’s world.

Listen to sermons, read transcripts, watch services, and find additional resources.
