PastorsMAIN CPC NUMBER: 952.920.8515
John's been at CPC since the fall of 1989, when he and his family of four were a LOT younger! John and Laura came from Washington DC, at the National Presbyterian Church, and have raised their two daughters, Katy and Maggie, in beautiful Minnesota. John received his B.A. from Wheaton College, his Master of Divinity from Gordon Conwell, and his Doctorate in Ministry from Fuller Seminary. As Senior Pastor, John's role primarily involves preaching and overseeing worship, leading senior staff and elders to set direction and vision, and living out faith with the CPC community. He reads constantly, loves sports (golf/ basketball/ tennis), and describes himself as an "enthusiastic, but not very skillful, sailor!"
Mitch joined the CPC staff on January 1, 2012 after a 25-year career in the health care field, where he was a partner at KMPG and CEO of Health Care Futures. Mitch, his wife, Quay, and their three daughters, Caitlin, Holly, and Chloe, are long-time members of CPC and have been blessed by a community that has encouraged them and challenged them in their discipleship. They have enjoyed coordinating CPC’s congregational and community efforts to serve kids all over the world through packing efforts with Feed My Starving Children and have been known to feed some hungry CPC kids on Wednesday nights as well! Mitch has his masters and law degrees from the University of Minnesota, was on the faculty of the University of St. Thomas MBA program for 20 years, and is a co-author of Remaking Health Care in America. Mitch has three roles at CPC: supporting, developing, and leading the senior staff of CPC; overseeing the operations of CPC; and working with the Session and John Crosby to set the vision and strategic direction of CPC. He has a green thumb and a passion to personally live out and see CPC live out the Great Commission.
